Hardfacing of vertical mills on site: reduced and optimized downtimes
Hardfacing can be made either inside or outside the mill for the rollers and for the table. In the second situation, special devices for supporting and rotating the components are supplied by IBERMAROS.
Rebuilding the components on site is a preferred solution for the following reasons:
No need to disassemble and reassemble the components
Reduction of the mill downtime
For segmented components: no need to cut off the weld deposit between the segments after welding and guarantee to obtain a continuous surface, offering the best wear resistance.
IBERMAROS has designed special equipment for hardfacing on site. The welding time is optimized by using multiple welding heads working simultaneously on several components.
