IBERMAROS was created in 1987 and is based in Chaves, in the north of Portugal. We are specialized in hardfacing and cladding technologies applied by arc welding, on site and in workshop. We offer advanced solutions against wear generated by abrasion and /or corrosion.
Since 1993, we have focused on hardfacing grinding components of vertical mills and roller presses, mainly in the cement industry and in the coal-fired power plants. With more than 800 hardfacing jobs carried out so far, IBERMAROS has become a worldwide leader in this field.
IBERMAROS also manufactures high quality composite wear plates and clad wear resistant tubes, serving all the industries facing abrasion and/or corrosion wear problems.
Close collaboration with the Portuguese Welding Institute
One of our key concerns is to guarantee high quality standards and a continuous improvement of our products and our services. We can achieve this with the permanent support of the Portuguese Welding Institute (ISQ) which owns part of the capital of IBERMAROS and plays an active role in our quality insurance system: certification of procedures and of the welders, technical training, research & development, testing, etc.
